About South Logan County Fair and Livestock Show

The South Logan County Fair - a cherished annual community tradition proudly hosted in Booneville, Arkansas, bringing together families, farmers, youth, businesses, and neighbors from South Logan County and beyond for a week of fun, competition, education, and celebration of our rural heritage.

We serve Booneville a historic community founded around 1828 as one of the oldest towns in western Arkansas, originally settled near the Petit Jean River in the Arkansas River Valley and now home to approximately 3,800 people. Nestled in the foothills of Mount Magazine State Park-the state's highest point at 2,753 feet-and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ouachita Mountains, our town offers a peaceful rural lifestyle enriched by outdoor recreation, family farms, small businesses, local schools, healthcare facilities, churches, youth programs, and community events. In this setting, where unpredictable weather, winding rural roads, agricultural operations, and the everyday pride in hard work and neighborly spirit shape daily life, the South Logan County Fair is essential as our biggest community gathering-showcasing 4-H and FFA projects, livestock shows, rodeo action, carnival rides, live entertainment, food vendors, crafts, and family-friendly activities that strengthen bonds, honor youth achievement, celebrate agriculture, and create lasting memories for generations.

The South Logan County Fair specializes in a full week of classic fair experiences and competitions tailored to our rural Arkansas community:
- Livestock Shows & Auctions: Youth exhibitors showcase and compete with cattle, sheep, goats, swine, poultry, rabbits, and more-highlighting hard work in animal care, breeding, and showmanship, culminating in junior livestock sales that support young producers and local agriculture.
- 4-H & FFA Exhibits: Open class competitions in baking, canning, sewing, crafts, photography, horticulture, woodworking, and other creative and agricultural projects-recognizing talent and dedication among youth and adults.
- Rodeo & Arena Events: Exciting rodeo performances featuring bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, and other traditional events that draw crowds and celebrate Western heritage.
- Carnival, Midway & Entertainment: Family-friendly carnival rides, games, food booths, live music, and nightly attractions that bring excitement and fun for all ages.
- Commercial & Educational Booths: Local businesses, organizations, and vendors showcase products, services, and information-along with demonstrations, contests, and educational displays on farming, health, safety, and community resources.
- Pageants & Special Contests: Including the South Logan County Fair Queen pageant, talent shows, and other competitions that highlight youth leadership, poise, and community involvement.

The benefits of the South Logan County Fair for Booneville and South Logan County include:
